The district of LogelbachThe district of Logelbach developed along the Muhlbach, a diversion canal of the Fecht river, bringing water to Colmar. Since the Middle Ages lots of mills have turned on its banks with the power of its water. In the eighteenth century the Haussmann brothers set up their workshop of printed calicoes and in the nineteenth century Antoine Herzog did the same. The district will thrive for nearly two centuries thanks to the prosperity of these two factories. |
